A Little History of the Inspiration for our annual White Elephant Gift Exchange

A few years ago, Carolyn and I worked for a company called Trust Company of the West.

I worked in the IS department, which at the time was a division of the Administration Department.  One Christmas season, the Admininstration Department decided to hold a White Elephant gift exchange.  I was unable to participate that year, but a rather amusing sculpture was produced out of that one party.  There was a really tacky sculpture of a matador and bull that has since then become a part of TCW IS tradition that was then handed down to the NEWEST member of the department.

I was amused at the prospects of this and Carolyn and I thought that we could have some fun with it...  Therefore a tradition was born...
